Samples policy

We recognise that it can be difficult to tell from a photograph, or a written description if a product is right for you.

Given this, we are happy to send samples where possible but do so under certain terms which are set out here.

 

Terms for sending samples

We will send samples, subject to stock availability under the following terms;

Terms for prospective customers

  • A sample request is submitted here https://rosslyn.co.uk/sample-request/
  • Pre-payment is received; we will send you a proforma invoice which includes a link to pay by credit card.
  • If you return the sample(s) within 30 days of delivery, in good condition, we will credit the full amount you initially paid back to your card.
  • We do not expect clients to return confectionery samples.
  • We reserve the right to reject a sample request or limit the number of samples to ship.

Terms for existing customers

  • A sample request is submitted here https://rosslyn.co.uk/sample-request/
  • Samples are free of charge ONLY if they are returned within 30 days of delivery. Thereafter the cost of the non-returned samples, plus the initial shipping charge will be invoiced in full.
  • We do not expect clients to return confectionery samples.

Why do we work this way?

Managing our samples under these terms allows us to offer a more efficient sample service.

Previously, a large proportion of our samples were never returned nor charged for. With some 200-300 samples shipping per year this represented a significant cost which, given our competitive pricing, we are unable to absorb.
