Embroidery is a great method for branding clothing and other textile-based products such as bags. Embroidery has a high perceived value, it’s a more permanent process, but it does have its limitations. Embroidery especially suits polo shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, fleece and headwear.
There are a number of different types of print process. Digital print allows the reproduction of full-colour images on an increasing number of product types in ever smaller quantities. Screen print is typically applied to textiles. Pad printing and other similar methods are mostly used to brand plastic items. In short, ‘printing’ can mean many things and this, coupled with ink technology, helps to create a wide spectrum of branding processes which fall under the same heading.
Engraving, embossing and debossing processes create a permanent mark by either applying heat or pressure to leave a mark. These branding processes often suit higher end products or applications where the perceived value must outstrip the actual cost.
